After nearly 3 hours of waiting last night, the CUSD Board of Trustees unanimously voted YES to proceed with using the promised funds from years ago to rebuild Cougar Stadium!!!! Funds may be received as early as next calendar year.

This is a HUGE step in the right direction. This vote could’ve easily gone sideways or determined the funds should be allocated to a different school with other needs… but we showed up in Black & Gold, patiently waited our turn, Dylan & Coach crushed their speeches, and we got our victory at the end of the night.

On behalf of Coach Curtis, we want to say THANK YOU to everyone that showed up in-person, and to those cheering us on in spirit. It couldn’t have been done without you all, along with the CVHS Foundation, and we recognize it was an incredibly long evening to endure. We look forward to working with the district and City of MV on next steps and will continue to keep our football family updated as more details arise on the action plan.
